In other instances, such as a person who has been convicted of multiple DUIs, a person can apply for a Restricted Driving Permit (RDP). It is important to note that an RDP also requires a Breath Alcohol Ignition Interlock Device. In order to obtain an RDP, the driver must provide a professional drug or alcohol evaluation. An RDP will then allow a driver to drive to places such as work, the grocery store, or to a child’s school.
